Oltu Rosary

 Oltu stone is a rich compact lignite type that is soft in the earth's crust and hardens when exposed to air. It is a semi-precious stone specific to the Oltu district of Erzurum. Oltu stone is quite difficult to extract from mines and process. It is processed with special tools due to its soft and fragile structure. Oltu stone, which is mostly black in color, attracts attention with its shine when used.
 The primary areas of use of Oltu stone are jewelry, ornaments and prayer beads. Today, Oltu stone is mostly a favorite of prayer beads masters and forms the basis for many prayer beads models.
